GPBCH Wellness Summit Offered Behavioral Economics Evidence and Technological Tools for Employers to Increase Consumer Engagement
A record number of attendees convened on September 14th at the Radnor Hotel for the GPBCH Annual Wellness Summit – “Best Practices for Engaging Consumers”. Keynote speaker Dr. Kevin Volpp, Director of University of Pennsylvania Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics, shared insight and evidence about consumer behavior relative to healthcare knowledge and engagement incentives. Other sessions and panel discussions addressed the role of price and quality transparency in engaging consumers in seeking high-value care, engaging consumers in the Choosing Wisely campaign to reduce use of low-value services, and the role of apps, trackers and other technologies in engaging and empowering consumers. The attendees participated in “The Hello Game” to learn how to engage in discussions about care preferences. We appreciate the support of sponsors for this program including, 98point6, Family Food, Happify Health, Merck, Nutrisavings, Quantum Health, Quizzify, Roche, Trividia, United Concordia Dental, WellDoc, Workforce Wellness Solutions, Color, Gallagher, and Interactive Health.
