Dec 9, 2016 - Five Philadelphia-area hospitals made it on Leapfrog Group’s “Top Hospitals” list. Founded in 2000 by large employers and other purchasers, The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health care quality and safety. The organization's “Top Hospitals” honor is based on performance in a variety of hospital care areas including safety, surgical outcomes, maternity care, and leadership using data it gathers and publicly reports from its annual voluntary surveys. Leapfrog bestowed the recognition on 56 general hospitals, 29 teaching hospitals, 21 rural hospitals and nine children’s hospitals. Check out the photo gallery to see who made the list.
