Director of Population Health Initiatives
GPBCH
Overview: The Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (www.gpbch.org) is a membership organization helping employers to improve the value of their health benefits expenditures, by identifying and implementing best practices to maintain employee health and productivity and ensuring that when health care is needed it is accessible, affordable, equitable, high-quality and safe. The Director of Population Health Initiatives contributes to Coalition strategy on improving workforce and community health, and leads select initiatives. The Director also serves as the Coalition’s main liaison to healthcare stakeholders in Delaware.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects related to population health measurement and improvement, on topics such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular health
  • Develop project ideas and seek grant funding to support initiatives
  • Manage project evaluation activities, including data collection, basic analytics, and preparation of presentations and written reports
  • Serve as main liaison between GPBCH and healthcare stakeholders in Delaware, including Delaware Department of Health and Social Services
  • Support GPBCH member recruitment and retention for employer members in Delaware
  • Participate in GPBCH staff team meetings and collaborate with other members of staff in support of activities and the mission

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in public health, population health, or a related healthcare discipline
  • Experience in project management and evaluation and grant proposal development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare system in Delaware desirable
  • Willingness to travel within the State of Delaware (at least 10% effort)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a positive disposition
