Includes providing strategic oversight for Comcast NBCUniversal’s U.S. medical/Rx plans including various clinical ecosystem partners.
Job Description
Works cross functionally across Comcast Global Benefits strategic wellbeing pillars (physical, emotional and financial) to ensure alignment with Comcast’s HR Operating Model and employee journeys. Effectively liaises with outside organizations, including consultants, benefit vendors, and legal counsel.
Core Responsibilities
- Develops health care strategies in alignment with Comcast NBCUniversal’s business needs, and Total Rewards’ goals and objectives.
- Responsible for developing a multi-year roadmap focused on identifying market-leading health care solutions to enhance member access to care, improve health outcomes and support long-term trend sustainability. Includes building strategic partnerships with key vendors to co-develop solutions that meet the unique business needs of Comcast NBCUniversal.
- Has in-depth knowledge of health care financial forecasting/underwriting principles including self-insured medical and pharmacy plan administration and payment models.
- Provides oversight over enterprise-wide health & welfare financial analysis and budget setting process including: Directs actuarial and consulting partners to align on underlying plan assumptions/methodologies and ensure reasonability for purposes of accrual setting, Incurred but Not Paid (IBNP), ongoing performance monitoring, etc. Oversees multi-year forecasting of self-funded and fully insured health care program costs in alignment with Comcast’s Long Range Planning process. Partners with Finance to support ongoing plan performance monitoring including reconciliation of actual plan payments with actuarial forecasts. Partners with health plans consultants and Comcast’s Data Services team to perform detailed claims analysis to identify underlying cost trends and assess both the financial and member impact of potential program initiatives.
- Drives materials and discussions for governance meetings and approvals (e.g., Benefit Fiduciary Committee). Ability to develop executive level presentation material and data visualizations. Ability to articulate complex topics in a concise and compelling business case to facilitate senior leadership review and decision making.
- Builds understanding and awareness of physical wellbeing strategy, key initiatives, and their business value with senior leaders and key Human Resource stakeholders
- Partners across Total Rewards in order to inform future strategic opportunities and ensure effective management of Comcast’s health care programs across a variety of complex organizational functions.Consults with Comcast clinical team (MSI) on medical plan policy and design, Directs HR Service Delivery team regarding the technical/operational requirements to support ongoing vendor administration. Oversees resolution of member escalations in partnership with HR Service Delivery.
- Prioritizes procurement cycle for key vendors. Includes in-depth experience managing complex procurement activities for self-insured medical and pharmacy services, including oversight of contract negotiations and execution.
- Conducts and facilitates team leadership over strategic vendor management activities to ensure ongoing operational performance in alignment with Comcast’s best practices and standard.
- Supervisory responsibility for Senior Manager supporting health care strategy, design and vendor management.
- Presents and participates at industry conferences and other company/vendor events, where appropriate.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:
Pay Range: This job can be performed in New York City with a Pay Range of $166,510.85 - $272,472.30
Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
