Employee Benefits Coordinator
The Employee Benefits Coordinator will provide systems, analytical and general employee benefit operations support to the HR team and employees across the YMCA of Delaware. Responsible for the administration of benefit policies and programs, compliance, reporting and HR project support.
Serves as the contact for day-to-day employee questions regarding benefits programs, enrollment, qualified life events, short- and long- term disability, leaves of absence, and 403b.
Administer company leave programs.
Assist with communications related to benefits and wellness initiatives and programs.
Audits information transferring between the Company HRIS and vendor systems.
Continuously partners with vendors and payroll to address and resolve any employee or system issue.
Review by-weekly payroll deductions.
Readies materials and system(s) for Annual Enrollment.
Reviews and pays all insurance billings.
Supports HR team with employee data management within HR systems.
Assist with employee relations issues, human resources policy and procedures, answer questions and resolve any related problems.
Handle routine correspondence and inquiries from employees and managers such as requests for employee data, reports, etc.
Data analytics and reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate degree with a major or concentration in Human Resources or related field.
3 years working in HR benefits/operations.
HR Specialist background in HR Shared Services, Benefits Administration, and/or Payroll.
Knowledge of all federal, state and local labor laws.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with all level of employees, colleagues and vendors.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
Able to pull together HR datasets and analytics, using standard tools.
Comfort with data mining, normalizing data, and building meaningful tables/analysis to drive better business decisions.
Technical aptitude and an attitude that embraces change.
High attention to detail. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Understanding of HR infrastructure. Basic understanding of most HR sub-functions, and their inter-dependencies.
Exhibits a sense of urgency in all deliverables.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle various goals/projects simultaneously.
Ultimate software experience preferred
