Dr. Mark Angelo is the Interim President and CEO as well as Chief Medical Officer of Delaware Valley ACO (DVACO), a joint venture between Jefferson Health and Main Line Health in the Greater Philadelphia Region. In this role, Dr. Angelo develops and leads strategy for value-based care, quality performance, network management, and payer relations in collaboration with Jefferson and Main Line leaders. The DVACO is among the largest ACOs in the country and holds multiple CMS and commercial contracts administering to an attribution of approximately 250,000 members.
Prior to joining DVACO, Dr. Angelo was the Medical Director for Population Health and the CEO of the AllCare Health Alliance ACO at Cooper University Health Care. He is a practicing palliative care physician and founded the first accredited fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in New Jersey. Angelo has been a champion for patient experience and has demonstrated great outcomes in provider engagement and communication in the ambulatory setting. Dr. Angelo is dedicated to the wellness of the community and has published and delivered talks locally, regionally, and nationally on various topics of value-based care, population health, palliative medicine, ethics in healthcare, and health system operational excellence. Angelo is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine where he also attended internship and residency. He is board certified in palliative medicine and internal medicine and holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration.
