Pat Haines is Executive Vice President and Chief Benefits Officer for the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). She manages a benefits team of 15 professionals and is responsible for the design, funding and administration of the benefits program (Pension, Death, Disability and Medical Coverage) for over 50,000 church workers and their families. Ms. Haines has spent her entire 35-year career in the Benefits field. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President and Public Entity Practice Leader with Commerce Insurance Services (now Conner Strong), where she managed a staff of 18 and supported and advised over 160 public and private sector clients on employee benefits design, funding, and communication matters. Her employment history also includes senior benefits executive and consulting positions at CIGNA, Coopers & Lybrand, and VIRTUA Health. In addition, Ms. Haines has had extensive Board leadership experience that includes being elected to two 3-year terms as President of the Haddonfield (NJ) Board of Education. She is currently serving as a member of the Policy Advisory Board of the National Business Group on Health (NBGH) in Washington, DC. Ms. Haines holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College.
